A Message From The Chair

March 18, 2006

Dear PACleanSweep Supporters:

Thanks to all of you, PACleanSweep has nearly completed the "heavy lifting" of its intended mission: raising as many Republican and Democratic candidates as possible to challenge incumbents in the May 16 primary election. We still have a few more candidates to approve, but we are very close to getting it wrapped up.

Although reports have surfaced regarding the future "control" of PACleanSweep, the truth is that no one can be in control of this movement because any control has already been passed off to our individual candidates and you, their supporters. We have succeeded in instilling in the general public an idea which is long overdue: taking back our government.

Recently, we sent a message through our network requesting contributions and you responded with an unprecedented outpouring of generosity. I want to personally thank you on behalf of all PACleanSweep candidates. This funding will be put to good use to further spread the PACleanSweep message and to support our candidates in the coming months.

We are currently assisting the PACleanSweep candidates involved in petition challenges. These challenges will play themselves out over the next few weeks in Commonwealth Court and we encourage all Pennsylvanians to pay close attention to the decisions made in these cases. PACleanSweep hopes those decisions will be rendered in a fair manner.

On another front, our legal fight against House of Representatives staffer Bob Nye and his "unclean" website continues, and you can expect some shocking revelations in the coming week or so. You may have noticed that our suit does not ask Mr. Nye to take down his website. That's because we firmly believe Mr. Nye - and all other citizens - have the right to publish their political opinions however he or she wishes. What we are asking Mr. Nye to do is equally abide by his Constitutional responsibility to not abuse that liberty. Quite simply, we'd like him to tell the truth.

There has also been some discussion as to my own future within PACleanSweep. While that particular part of the future is not yet certain, one fact is crystal clear: I will remain your faithful servant and perform the day-to-day tasks I have been responsible for until such time that I believe others have successfully stepped up to the plate. As founder of PACleanSweep, I take this responsibility to you seriously and consider it my number one priority.

Even if I somehow become separated from PACleanSweep, I will remain "on call" for our candidates and their campaign teams as the primary election approaches and beyond. I will add my voice to their effort to return our state government to We the People.

Finally, I'd like to thank each one of you who has taken the time to send a personal message of support or encouragement over the last few days. Those sentiments are what motivate me to keep my eye "on the ball" and reinvigorate my desire - and my need - to fight for what's right.

Keep the faith. Spread the word. Volunteer to help a PACleanSweep candidate. Change your party registration to help vote out an incumbent. If there is no challenger to your incumbent, consider challenging them yourself as an Independent or third party candidate.

You've consistently made history before, and I have faith that you will do it again in 2006!

Sincerely,

Russ Diamond
