Here are the requirements you must meet to be eligible to serve in the General Assembly in Pennsylvania:State Representative Requirements
You must be at least 21 years old, have lived in the Commonwealth for at least four years, your particular legislative district for one year and have been a US citizen for at least four years.State Senator Requirements
You must be at least 25 years old, have lived in the Commonwealth for at least four years, your particular senatorial district for one year and have been a US citizen for at least four years.To have his or her name appear on the general election ballot, a candidate is required to obtain the signatures of registered voters residing in their legislative district and pay a $100.00 filing fee.
